Born and raised in San Diego, California, Greg has been fascinated with drawing and painting since early childhood.

After high school he took life drawing classes where he was first introduced to illustration. Greg's early mentors included Robert Watts, Darrell Milsap and Robert Kinyon. Influences of the impressionists play heavily on Greg's renderings of sports, 30's and 40's nostalgia and jazz musicians.

He feels it is important for his paintings to tell a story. This has lead to a series of highly acclaimed children's book projects for Harcourt Brace Publishing, including: CASEY OVER THERE.

Greg has been recognized with numerous awards including from The New York Society of Illustrators. He has lectured at the La Jolla Academy of Advertising Arts and San Diego State University. His originals paintings are in private collections throughout the United States.
