| Lionel Koechlin has been working extensively
for many years. His more recent work is as follows: In 1993 he did a new advertising campaign for Strollerthon, as well as a mailing for Microsoft. He worked on telephone cards for North Bank in Germany, and advertising for Motorola. Signs were produced for "Lecture et Loisirs" and a film called "Tango". Lionel was chosen by the European Community to represent France for a calendar. He illustrated "Grigri Makes a Pie". In 1994 Lionel illustrated the books "Mum's Eyes" and "Alphabet Vacation". His advertising work during that year consisted of brochures and leaflets for the European Commission. He also did a film for "Plantafin" and participated in various publications. Lionel was proud to receive the grand prize for the 1994 film Tango, and furthermore, conducted a successful exhibition at "Galerie Medicis". The following year illustrations were done for books including "One and His Friends" and "Between Dogs and Cats". Lionel worked on "The World Freedom Echo" and did advertising for a busines school in Tokyo. He released a pilot film about Christmas, called "les Yetis du Pere-Noel". In 1996 Lionel was doing regular drawing work for a German magazine called 'Eltern', and for the newspapers 'Liberation' and 'Les Echos'. He also drew for the French magazines 'L'enjeu' and 'Avantages'. He did advertising work for Renault and Volkswagen, and painted a mural in a hospital at Bobigny near Paris. He did various book jackets and published his own book; "Le pere Noel est sans rancune". In 1997 he continued working for the same newspapers and magazines. He also drew in "Help and Lending from U.E." for the European Commission. Lionel published "Chien et chat dans Paris" at Le Seuil. He also published "Enle chien et chat" with his brother Philippe Koechlin as co author. An animated film of that book was also produced. Lionel worked on drawings for France Telecom. A series of covers were illustrated for for "le club", a members magazine for a Japanese department store. Also for Japan, Lionel has created a dog character for a Toyobo television advertisement. |
