Lucy Elkivity

Studied at Talma Yalin School of Arts, afterwards four years of art studies at the Art Teacher's Seminary in Ramat Hasharon.

1995 - created 50 illustrations for a musical story for children, "The Three Legged Monster", by Tzvi Avni and Hanna Yaddor Avni, for orchestra, narrator and slides. The piece was performed in Israel, Europa, and U.S.A. several times. Videotape was produced afterwards from those slides. Samples can be seen at :www.tzvi-avni.com/lucy


1997 - published two children's books : "Fly's Day out on the Beach", and "Pamperpox - Children's Ailment Sometimes affecting Adults too".

1998/1999 - one year course at "Avni Institute of Art", and workshops on children literature at "Beit Ariela", Tel-Aviv.

2000 - illustrated children's book : "Damzars, Weddings and Pencil Soup", and "My first panties",

2001,"Zulka- a very good witch", writing and illustration .

Works are made in various techniques and styles giving each illustration its own unique characterization.

Lucy Elkivity has participated in group exhibitions. "Illustrating and Publishing a book for me is like opening an exhibition. Each illustration is treated like a unique work of art". "Children are always O.K. I like to be on their side" .
