Santiago Cohen attended Art school in Mexico, followed by a MFA in Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.

Since 1982 his illustrations have appeared some of the best US newspapers and magazines. He also has illustrated books for GP Putnam, Grosset & Dunlap, Zanner-Bloser, Warner, Houghton Mifflin, Golden Books and Chronicle books.

Santiago has designed Christmas cards for MoMA NY, has been a film animation Director and designer and his work includes: "Troubles the Cat" produced by the Cartoon Network and Children Television Network, with this he won two design awards by Asifa East.

He has done also films for HBO children specials; two of them won an Emmy and a Peabody award. He designed animated Openers for the French TF!, and several advertising TV spots.

Santiago has had individual and collective fine art shows in New York and Mexico. He received a grant from the Xeric foundation to self-publish his graphic novel "The fifth name".

Currently he works on several books, animations and paintings for a show.
